My main focus is creating a trusting relationship with each of my clients. No birth journey or client is the same, so I individualize doula support to fit the needs of each person. I encourage my clients to trust their instincts and allow their bodies to do what's natural. Trust your intuition, listen to your body, and allow things to flow. As your Doula, I will be there to support you emotionally, help you physically, and to hold space for you throughout your pregnancy.

Birth can be a daunting thing, especially if this is your first baby, or if you’ve had a previous traumatic birth experience. A doula will help you work through any anxieties that you have around birth. They will help educate and empower you to birth with confidence and peace.
“Studies have shown that having a doula as a member of the birth team decreases the overall cesarean rate by 50%, the length of labor by 25%, the use of oxytocin by 40%, and requests for an epidural by 60%. Doulas often use the power of touch and massage to reduce stress and anxiety during labor.”
Doulas are trained in various birth techniques that help to keep labor progressing. Your doula will keep you moving into optimal positions and help you to trust and work with your body to move baby out.
Many doulas provide hands-on lactation support in the hours and days following birth. Not only will this help with your confidence from the beginning, but it will serve as a troubleshooting support if you need help. A doula will know when to refer you to an IBCLC for deeper needs.
Women who had a doula's support during birth, on average, have a more positive memory of the experience. Not only does a doula help your birth preferences come true, she will help you decompress after brith and talk over everything that happened with you.
Once you become pregnant, people start giving unsolicited advice, and you're faced with many decisions about birth and your baby. A doula will always offer non-biased, non-judgmental education and support in learning what is best for your body and baby.
